Pitch Black Imperial

Five years in the conceptual stage and six months in the brewing – there’s certainly been no rushing this little beauty.
This is a style that’s all about malt so we doubled the ingredients of our gold medal Pitch Black stout (stuck the mash), then added a dollop of flaked barley and wheat, we barrel aged it for in Central Otago pinot noir Oak for three months – picking up hints of vanilla from the Oak.
Lightly hopped, the beautiful, rich flavour and mouthfeel makes this a perfect after-dinner sipper, which will only improve with age.
